I'm generally against lawsuits, but I think in this case, suit should be brought. According to their creedo, the ACLU *should* take on this kind of case, but they probably won't.
It seems to me that it's possible laws were broken, so I think the principle of bringing suit for the greater good would apply. But I certainly wouldn't be anxious to finish out a degree there, either....

I wouldn't bring a lawsuit to ask for any kind of compensation but I'd probably "appeal to Caesar" in order to give my defense in front of a court. I might just quote Paul.... "The reason I stand here in this court is because of my hope in the resurrection of the dead. My accusors can't prove I've broken any laws or policies so I stand here before you because of Jesus of Nazareth."
