Something I don't understand is why some translators of Sinaiticus have "only begotten Son" in John 1:18 (as Snyder's translation above, whereas Sinaiticus actually has "only begotten God" as does Papyrus 66 and Papyrus 75. Even the Sinaiticus website in their transcription to the modern Greek alphabet has "only begotten God" whereas their translation into English has "only begotten Son."
