Other than Jonah, I can't think of many cases of OT "evangelism."
There didn't seem to be an emphasis from God to "convert" the pagan nations, but rather to withdraw from and avoid them.
Why is this?
And a further question-- let's assume that the repentance shown by the Ninevites after Jonah's preaching "stuck." Would they have been expected to convert to Judaism? Would they be "allowed" to woship via sacrifice etc in Ninevah, or would they have to travel to Jerusalem? That wouldn't be very practical.
Just some random musings to start off a Saturday.

OT Evangelism
Re: OT Evangelism
I think Israel was supposed to be a light to the nations to reveal the one true God. When they left Egypt there were gentiles among them. So anyone could follow the Old Covenant and be an Israelite and they could use tabernacles if they couldn't get to Jerusalem.
Also there was the Noah Covenant which i think gentiles could follow (i think). They wouldn't be Israelites but i think it was an acceptable covenant with God. Called the seven laws of Noah.
