Yes, it is a quandry for any abomination of desolation after 32 AD (Pentecost). Matthew 23:18-20 does point to God being the one who makes a place sacred. But is it possible to dedicate something to God and then have it desicrated? Yes, I think so. So even if God does not require the Temple any longer after 32 AD, it can still be desolated.
