How many time in the new testament is "great tribulation" referred to?

B) 3 times

C) (3.5 times?)

B) & D), depending which bible you look at.

I found 'great tribulation' referred to 3 times in the KJV, and 4 times in Young's Literal Translation (1898, as used by eSword).
I haven't consulted other versions.
p.s.
I am assuming you are doing a survey & don't want these verses quoted now.

I found three if you include Revelation 2:22.
