Paul's Infirmity

Post by CThomas » Thu Apr 23, 2015 4:23 pm

This is an obvious point, but it just occurred to me for the first time. Is it widely speculated that the eye problems from which Paul may have suffered (e.g., Galations 4:15) could have been a holdover from his temporary blindness on the road to Damascus?

I rather doubt that his poor eyesight was related to his blindness on the road to Damascus. However, I do think his poor eyesight constituted the "thorn in the flesh" to which he referrred in 2 Corinthians 12:7.

Man judges a person by his past deeds, and administers penalties for his wrongdoing. God judges a person by his present character, and disciplines him that he may become righteous.
