Romans 2 Nathan and David

In the transition from Romans 1:18-32 (which I call "the Sermon") into Romans 2:1 there is this big mood shift wherein the audience was led from great preaching of judgment against others and then were told "hey. you who judgse is guilty of the same things."

Now in Steve's lessons on Romans he mentions the connection of Paul's approach with that used by Nathan when approaching King David on his sins regarding Bathsheba (2 Sam 12:1-9).

This was something I figured out while reading Romans and later found that Steve observed the same semblance. Are there some writers or studies on Romans 2 that also document this? The written version of this is a bit easier to make references to.

There may be some commentators who make this observation. I have not found them.
