Luke 2:49 "about my Father" vs "father's house" vs "father's

Translations seem to add either "in .... House" our "about ... Business". Commentaries I've read don't seem to recognize this variation and wax poetic on one or the other translation. But as I read the inter linear I have, there are no words or phrases to suggest either.

So, how do the translators get to these translations and if they aren't justified, then what does "about my father" mean?

Hi Darin,

I am not the Greek scholar that some here are, so they can correct me if I am wrong. I believe the actual statement of Jesus, in Greek, would be more literally translated: "In that of my Father I must be..." The question would then be, "To what does 'that' refer?" The context would permit either "the house" (since He was in the temple), or "the business" (since that was how He was occupied). The context might support either.
