This may be very simple, but I am reading through Genesis and one verse that struck me in the New Testament was John 8:56.



When Jesus says that Abraham saw His day was He referring to Abraham's strong faith in God to fulfill the covenant promises regarding his seed (the Christ) so that to Abraham the promises were seen as accomplished or something else?

Actually, I was listening to Steve's lecture of Faith towards God Part 1 in Foundations of a Christian Faith and he talked about this verse specifically.
