Centurion question for Steve Gregg

Steve,

I remember discussing the centurion of Matthew 8 and Luke 7 with you several months ago but, drats!, I can't find the topic. I was under the impression that you said he wasn't necessarily a God-Fearer and that his faith could only be considered faith that Jesus could heal his servant. I listened to the verse by verse teaching and you seem to intimate that he was a God-Fearer and his faith was more akin to the gentiles re:Romans 11 which provided for ingrafting. I have to teach this tomorrow so I'll give both options but I was wondering what your current thinking is on these verses.

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark,

While you're waiting for Steve's current thinking,

- I did a search & I think found the topic you referred to:

>Christian Living/Ethics (p2)

>The Pledge during worship (p4) near end of page.

(There's probably a way to do a proper link but I'm afraid that's beyond me).

Suzana,

Yes, that's it. Thanks for finding that for me. Isn't it interesting every so often to go back and see what you were thinking a year or two ago? I get very little time to look at the forum lately so many of the conversations that I think were a few weeks ago turn out to be a year or more. Thanks again.

Mark
