Centurion question for Steve Gregg

Steve,
I remember discussing the centurion of Matthew 8 and Luke 7 with you several months ago but, drats!, I can't find the topic. I was under the impression that you said he wasn't necessarily a God-Fearer and that his faith could only be considered faith that Jesus could heal his servant. I listened to the verse by verse teaching and you seem to intimate that he was a God-Fearer and his faith was more akin to the gentiles re:Romans 11 which provided for ingrafting. I have to teach this tomorrow so I'll give both options but I was wondering what your current thinking is on these verses.
Thanks,
Mark
