In the Gospel of Mark Chapter 1 starting around verse 40 it gives an account of Jesus healing a leper. Then in verse 44 Jesus instructs this ex-leper not to tell anyone but to go straight to the priests. Then he has to leave the city(or not enter) because the Leper couldn't keep his mouth shut and people were swarming him.
Now... in the first thing we read in Chapter 2 right after the above story is the story of another healing. Only this time the sole purpose of him healing the guy is so that everyone knows that hey "I am the God-Man" "I have the power to heal and forgive."
So my real question is, why would he tell one guy to be all hush hush and then very shortly after openly heal for the purpose of making himself known?
"To praise or not to Praise?" This is my question.
