Re: A 40 Year Millenium?

Yes, what event?

You can't be talking about the millenium. That's not an event; it's a period of time ---- 40 years (for the full preterist), 1000 years (for the pre-millenialist), or over 2000 years (for the amillenialist).

Re: A 40 Year Millenium?

40 year millenium! Heh, heh. This reminds me of the three-year "eternal" imprisonment which Josephus records Jonathan as having endured. Josephus indicated in Book 6 of The Wars of the Jews that Jonathan was "condemned to αιωνιος imprisonment". If "αιωνιος" means "eternal" or "everlasting" (as some ...

Re: Proverbs 30, and Jesus' pre-incarnate "sonship"

Greetings Steve, I can see that yours is a possible interpretation. As for the Logos of God being called "the Son of God" prior to His incarnation, do you have any comments on the verse to which Anochria alluded? Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled bu...

Re: Is Jesus called God's "Son" prior to the incarnation?

Concerning the passage in Proverbs 30, Agar said: Surely I am too stupid to be a man. I have not the understanding of a man. I have not learned wisdom, nor have I knowledge of the Holy One. Who has ascended to heaven and come down? Who has gathered the wind in his fists? Who has wrapped up the water...

Re: Luke 13

I, too, think the word "likewise" is very significant our Lord's statement: "Unless you repent you will all likewise perish" If, without repentance, they would perished likewise to the perishing of those killed by Pilate, or those on whom the tower in Siloam fell, then the death to which Jesus refer...

Re: Rational Choice

Well brothers, would you help me out here because that is what I meant. :? Can you explain how the computer prediction is not rational? The computer prediction is neither rational nor irrational. It's your CHOICE which is either rational or irrational. True, I think that choosing both boxes is the ...

Re: Promiscuouity

Parental divorce often scars the children so deeply that their lives are ruined. You might want to try working things out with your wife, and try working on your own emotions. Is it necessary to feel so terribly pained with her infidelity? By winning her love for you and showing that you really love...
