Re: It's A Thin Line Between Love and Hate...
Well, does God hate the devil? If so, would it really be a stretch to say that He also hates those that follow satan (angels) and the children of the devil as well?

Re: Open question about Romans 9-11
I asked a friend of mine who goes godrulz what he thought of this verse. This is what he had to say: Peter is speaking to those who have already freely responded. They are now part of the corporate elect. The group was foreknown and predestined, but individuals are freely added later, become part of...

Re: It's A Line Line Between Love and Hate...
God hates his enemies because they are just that-- His enemies. All mortal enemies of God have been taken captive by the devil to do his will. Hence, their wickedness works against God's Kingdom. Since his enemies are of satan's kingdom, and God is going to destroy [bring severe judgment] upon all o...

Re: The Spirit of the Lord
In Ephesians 4:30 where it says "do not grieve the Spirit of God, the Greek actually says "the Spirit, the Holy One of God". Also, why the specification of grieve not the Spirit, if Spirit is an inanimate personality? Why not simply "do not grieve God"? If the Spirit is the personality of the Father...

Re: Open question about Romans 9-11
Seer, you have not given much of a reason to believe you grasp what Sean is saying. For the sake of dialogue, could you please be a little more direct in your responses?

Re: Open question about Romans 9-11
No, Sean's thoughts and questions have priority. After all, he did ask them first. Why not give a geniene reply answering his requests and then ask your question?

Re: Who Can Come To Christ?
Seer, If you are truly interesting in knowing who else holds to the biblical view Sean is presenting, see Laurence Vance, The Other Side of Calvinism, pp.510-511 , Walls and Dongell: Why I am Not a Calvinist, p.75 , and John Goodwin Redemption Redeemed, p.80. In the passages under discussion found i...

Re: Is Satan's 1st Sin even Possible?
Matt (& Steve?), To be honest, I am having a hard time seeing how there is any significant difference between your hypothesis and the traditional position. For example, the traditional view of the origin of the devil has him being a good angel who became prideful. Thus, as pride began to form, he fe...
