Re: Witness Lee's "Local Church" on Bible Answer Man

Okay, I checked out the sites. I now see (from Witness Lee's writings) that they are modalists rather than Trinitarians, even though they use the word "Trinity"as well as "Triunity" in connection to their beliefs. You seem to have focused on the trinity vs. modalism issue to the exclusion of all el...

Re: Witness Lee's "Local Church" on Bible Answer Man

Charles, thank you for your comments. What you observed is more or less typical. I'm glad you didn't get sucked in. That was worth the tradeoff for the cheese and chocolate bars. :) I couldn't disagree with you more, Mr. Backwoodsman. I figured that would draw some fire from somewhere. :) They are t...

Re: Witness Lee's "Local Church" on Bible Answer Man

I listened to this recently after finding this post. Hanegraaff played some serious softball there. I kept waiting for him to ask some tough questions about Witness Lee's heretical teachings, but he never did. I don't think he even asked them about any doctrinal issue except the trinity, to which th...

Re: The size of Goliath

The older the manuscripts found, the more true the information is? At first glance it seems that would be true, but in fact it's often the other way around. Known-incorrect manuscripts didn't get copied, so any copies still in existence are old, and there are very few. Meanwhile, known-correct (or ...

Re: The size of Goliath

Goliath’s height from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goliath Goliath grew at the hand of narrators or scribes: the oldest manuscripts - the Dead Sea Scrolls text of Samuel, the first-century historian Josephus, and the fourth century Septuagint manuscripts - all give his height as “four cubits and a ...

Re: Finger of God

What is important is to look at the fruit of what happens Your friend hit the nail right on the head here -- the fruit is certainly the best indicator of whether something is of God. Almost everyone I've ever known who got caught up in this sort of thing either was Biblically illiterate, or got so ...

Was it stereo? 8k is a little too low for stereo but works fine for mono. There are some other settings that could've done it too.

Re: Dreams & Visions

Charles, What is/was the significance of these dreams to you? Do you feel that God communicated a message through them that was of special significance or help to you at the time? Do you feel they might contain some message or purpose yet to be realized? How do your answers to these questions fit in...

Re: "The Road to Find Out" is back

I have made the alterations and will use those setting from now on. Thanks, really appreciate it. Are you sure that changing the bit rate from 128 to 16 won't terribly compromise the sound quality? It wouldn't be ideal for music, but for speech 16k is just fine. The Narrow Path (low speed version) ...
