Bible story mp3's for kids

Hey, I just wanted to share this link. It is for some Bible story audio files that a woman named Joelee Chamberlain made for her grandkids. I haven't listened to all of them yet, but I previewed some of them and they seem good. She has a very kind, grandmotherly delivery that I think kids will like....

Re: NEW Great Commission School—THIRD MODULE

Thanks Steve. I'm sure it's better for everyone that you didn't rush through the other books.

Re: NEW Great Commission School—THIRD MODULE

Steve, did Ezekiel and Lamentations end up getting covered as expected in the 3rd module? I see that Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Daniel have been posted. I don't mean to accuse anyone if there hasn't been time to edit and post them, I know it is all volunteer work being done as time allows.

Thanks,
-Kyle

Paidion wrote:"I am going to hell the potatoes"
"Hey Ma, what's for dinner?"

"Potatoes from hell."

Maybe "hell" is not such a bad translation?

O.E. hel, helle, "nether world, abode of the dead, infernal regions," from P.Gmc. *haljo "the underworld" (cf. O.Fris. helle, Du. hel, O.N. hel, Ger. Hölle, Goth. halja "hell") "the underworld," lit. "concealed place" (cf. O.N. hellir "cave, cavern"), from PIE *kel- "to cover, conceal, save" (see c...

2nd temple sacrifices?

A short (and simple?) question I hope:

How did the High Priest carry out the yearly ritual for the Day of Atonement in the second temple if the ark was missing?

Giving children communion?

I was raised with the understanding that partaking of communion is only for baptized believers. The church I was raised in held this view as far as I know. The church I am currently attending holds this view as well, although in recent years they have begun to make a notable exception. There is a se...

3000

My father-in-law mentioned this today in passing, and I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts. In Exodus 32:28, around the time when Moses was delivering the message of the Old Covenant, 3000 people were slain because of disobedience to God. In Acts 2:41, when Peter was delivering the message of ...

Re: Is a Fetus/Newborn a Spiritual Being?

Now, help me understand the manifold mysteries of God's economy -- why do you suppose He would create a soul that He never intended to live on earth? Do you suspect that this baby just got a "pass" at the whole "testing ground" thing here on Earth and got to move past "Go" and proceed directly to e...

Re: Case study #281012

How would Lutzer answer the question, "Is it right to lie to save a life if there is no other option?" He would answer, "No." Yet he would say you should choose "the least of two evils," in this case the "two evils" being lying or allowing a person to be killed when you could have saved him. So, in...
