Re: When is a view fully preteristic?
I'm not sure of the nature of the full-preterist theologies held by some on this board. Perhaps some point-blank questions are in order: 1. Do you view the resurrection and the ascension as basically the same? In other words, when we die, will we 'ascend' (so to speak) into the spiritual state and t...

Re: John Wesley
TK, Yes, Wesley was an extremely rigid individual when it came to schedule. He thought poorly of anyone that slept more than 6 hours a night. He did not give 'more' time to people just b/c they were well off or 'important'. And, as your story shows, was a very early riser for the purpose of prayer. ...

John Wesley
Hey guys and gals :) I've been taking a course on 'Wesleyan Theology' and have enjoyed it thoroughly. I thought I would share some bullet points from his life and see if there's any questions about him or Wesleyan theology in general. The Life of John Wesley Born June 17th, 1703 Number 15 of 19 ...

Re: Who are you planning to vote for?
I think that is the best critique of my idea (that we can't know for sure what states are 'in play'). I would agree that we can't be sure that certain states will ALWAYS vote a certain way. I would take it on a election by election basis. But when you have 10 different polling agencies reporting a m...

Re: Who are you planning to vote for?
If this is a close race, voting for a third candidate will draw votes away from the main race and could decide the election. So if you don't vote or if you do vote for a third candidate, you have still indirectly participated in the outcome of the main race. This is more true in a straight up popul...

Re: When is a view fully preteristic?
The resurrection that was promised was certainly thought of in physical terms. But the NT adds a spiritual dimension for the hope of eternal life in the new birth for the living. Israel was to face judgment in the resurrection - a judgment that was to determine whether they enter glory or not. Thos...

Re: When is a view fully preteristic?
Where in the Bible does it define resurrection as being only physical? I know that this mortal body must be shed and we will put on the immortal, but what realy does the Bible tell us about that? All I know for sure is that when I die, I go to be with Christ, forever. And if there is a physical res...

Re: Who are you planning to vote for?
But in the electoral college my vote for Mccain in NY would be useless. He can't get a single electoral vote from NY. If NY were a battleground state, in other words, I would consider voting for McCain as the lesser of 2 evils (so to speak). But since NY is decidedly voting for Obama, I feel it make...
