Re: Trinities podcast

Tuggy is a Unitarian. He and his group teach that Jesus is little more than a man. His podcast is a recruitment set up.

Re: Homosexuality and Heaven

I agree with Steve. In addition, Paul says that the Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. If the person who practices those things will not inherit the Kingdom of God, then that person will not have righteousness, peace, or joy.

Re: Presuppositional Apologetics

Good point Matt. I believe Bahnsen would have fallen into the category that Paidion describes.

Presuppositional Apologetics

Hello all,

I was wondering everyone’s thoughts on Presuppositional Apologetics. I have listened to some of Greg Bahnsen‘ lectures and he makes some good points. What I do not like about Bahnsen - he was a Calvinist and a theonomist.

Thanks

Could Luke 20:38 support Universalism?

Hello Paidion

Given your view of the soul, what do you make of scripture when Jesus preached to the imprisoned spirits of Noah’s day? 1 Peter 3:18-20

Thanks

Could Luke 20:38 support Universalism?

Paidion - Thank you for responding. That’s a good and reasonable response! Bro. Peter Hiett wrote me back and he sent me two (2) links: one was a blog link and the second a sermon. Here is a copy of his blog post. -————————————— What’s the “Unforgivable Sin?” And How Could God Make Such a Person New...

Could Luke 20:38 support Universalism?

Good to hear from you again Paidion; I write this because you have been absent a few days. What do make of Matthew 12:30-32, Mark 3:28-30, & Luke 12:8-10? Matthew writes “this age or in the age to come”. The universalist could say - “this age - law of Moses” & “age to come - Church”. If taken in tha...

Re: Could Luke 20:38 support Universalism?

Homer T. Talbott’s argument I am not saying that I agree with him, but here is T. Talbott’s (Christian philosopher) argument. Talbott has offered three propositions which many traditional Christians consider are biblically based but Talbott considers can not all be true at the same time: 1. God is t...

Could Luke 20:38 support Universalism?

One of the things that has kept me back from universalism is when Jesus talks about the unforgivable sin (eg Matthew 12:31-32). However, I have not read how they would exegete those passages. But it would be hard to exegete away from this ...”it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or the a...

Could Luke 20:38 support Universalism?

Hello Homer You are correct about Fudge. I read and loved his more condensed version “Hell a Final Word” shortly after it came out. That book had me convinced for a time that conditionalism was true, but then I came across Peter Hiett (via youtube) at one of the “Rethinking Hell” conferences. At pre...
