Re: Praying for the Devil
If Satan was made as he was/is from the beginning then God made a sin/lying/murdering/destroying entity from the beginning and as Jesus said "a house divided can not stand", plus God created something contrary to his character if Satan was meant to destroy from the beginning? Can God create an evil...

Re: Praying for the Devil
I would merely quote Jesus's personal character reference to Satan: 44 You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own chara...

Re: Ghosts
Possibly. It seems that the devil and those who work for him -- their greatest desire is to win people from God. IF the idea of a different afterlife for people contrary to the Scriptures is presented to humanity, humanity may begin to question God's Word? I don't know. I think that seeking demonic ...

Ghost Suffering?
Thankfully I can say that I do not think I have ever experienced a demonic attack or been involved in paranormal activity. Like the average American (I think), I just have a semi-interest in ghost stories and what-not. I do enjoy "My Ghost Stories" on the bio. channel. (They are easy to find via goo...

Ignorant of Mark 5:28?
I was getting ready to do a sermon on the latter half of Mark 5 ; concerning the healing of Jairus's daughter as well as the woman with the continual bleeding. Besides my Study Bibles, I have been using two commentaries - one from each side of the Calvinist-Arminian paradigm. I was amazed to read in...

Re: OT Saul's Salvation and Fall From Grace?
Continuing in this discussion of God's sovereignty and human freedom - and how they interact with one another... AND as I continue to read in I Samuel , I've come across an interesting two verses that seem to raise questions concerning these matters again. Consider I Samuel 16:13-14 13 Then Samuel t...

Re: OT Saul's Salvation and Fall From Grace?
Yes. What we can't assume is that giving someone a new heart removes their ability to make it bad again. It's like God giving you a second chance—doesn't assure you will use it. As I studied today in my personal readings, the fall from grace in Saul's life... perhaps setting up in I Samuel 13:8-14 ...

Re: A Simple Argument for Open Theism
To try and put it as simple logical, and void of Scriptural assistance as you started (void of scriptural assistance after the first two of your points): I believe that a God who does not know the future, is a God who cannot deliver. What would be the difference in serving a God bound by space and t...

Re: OT Saul's Salvation and Fall From Grace?
Hey folks - As we continue to read in I Samuel 10 , particularly verses 10-13 10 When they came to Gibeah, behold, a group of prophets met him, and the Spirit of God rushed upon him, and he prophesied among them. 11 And when all who knew him previously saw how he prophesied with the prophets, the pe...
