Re: CULTS. on today's boadcast.
I feel a bit nervous about jumping in here, as I don't want to seem disrespectful. I do know that one of the things that Dorian said was true and when I heard it, it bothered me at the time. On one call, Steve ended the conversation by stating "this is my show". I thought about asking Steve if this ...

Re: How do we stay in Christ?
When I first heard the explanations of these verses in 1John, it appeared to me that the interpretation that says that a true Christian does not "practice sin" left a lot of unanswered questions. For starters, what constitutes "practicing" sin? More than one fall into a specific sin?

It doesn't mean that they were perfect, however,,,,,

How can one become totally in submission unless they already have the Holy Spirit?

Re: Is discipleship possible before being born again?
My understanding of "disciple" is a word like "pupil" or "follower" although i know Jesus made harsher sounding definitions to his early followers yet in Acts we don't really see the same type of demand made to new believers. Perhaps the first followers had a somewhat different calling although i'm...

Re: Is discipleship possible before being born again?
How many people here believe that they have "forsaken everything"? I mean everything, total perfection.
Is to "believe" to become perfectly submitted to God? I'm serious, no stones unturned.

Re: Is Homosexuality a birth defect?
I was thinking about this again today as I noticed the grass b/w my porch and my car door is becoming less and less dense. It's an obvious pathway now. Of course, some sort of supposed expert could come along and say "this man parks his car at this spot because that's where the path leads." But the...

Re: Important Scripture Ignored Often
The word translated as "impossible" acutally means "no power" For there is no power to renew to a change of heart and mind those who have once been enlightened ... if they deviate [from the narrow path] since they are re-crucifying for themselves the Son of God and publically shaming Him. Heb 6:4-6...

Re: Important Scripture Ignored Often
Hi Paidion,
Is it beyond God's ability to give power and left up to the human? But isn't God the One that has to grant repentance?
Thanks,
R

Important Scripture Ignored Often
Doesn't it seem that the Hebrews 10 and 6 chapters are often ignored in discussion of hell's nature? It would seem that the "impossible to renew" verse of Hebrews 6 would be quite relevant here. Steve did not mention this in his Three Views of Hell audios, but they are quite salient.
