Re: Why Does God Hide Himself?
When I was around 13 years old, I took a severe beating from a bunch of older kids at a school lock-in event. This is where parents drop you off on a Friday night and everyone gets picked up the following morning. After the assault, I was able to slip away and hide but they were still looking for me...

Re: Do you obey Jesus?
Yes, and Acts plus the red letters (Jesus' words) are not just in these. Just come out and tell us what you think. "What does Jesus teach for us to obey" fills up these volumes. We can't guess which one you are talking about. http://images.mentalfloss.com/sites/default/files/styles/insert_main_wide...

Re: How should the righteous view evil men?
Dwight wrote: So tell me, Jason, how do you reconcile David's apparent hateful words towards his enemies with Jesus' command to love your enemies, since they both had the Holy Spirit? I already presented my theory in my last post. How do you do it? Hi, Dwight. Thank you for asking my opinion. The Bi...

dwight92070,
Forgive me, but it seems like you are trying to justify hating your enemies. Is that not the case?

Re: How should the righteous view evil men?
The psalms are musical poems and do not prescribe doctrine. They contain a wide range of thought, including angry prayers, requests, observations, thankfulness and sometimes prophecy. I think that we, as followers of Christ, should only pay attention to the summary statements found in the NT (like M...

Re: Why Does God Hide Himself?
He is not hidden. He revealed himself in the most naturally occurring form: a human. Jesus embodied both Son of God, and Son of Man. He brought heaven to earth. He then passed on that divinity to humanity when he inhabited believers with Holy Spirit. And embodied himself in his church, as hands and...

Re: The Flat Earth & Conspiracy Theories
As I said, if the legitimacy of a position was determined by the number of people that hold the claim, the sun would still be orbiting the earth. And the number of people who can make a legitimate claim regarding YEC or ID is much smaller than 15% I was actually citing the full survey to which you ...

Re: The Flat Earth & Conspiracy Theories
morbo300, It's possible that I misread your intentions. The subject here is mass conspiracies and you refuted some earlier claims by essentially calling them anti-science. You did this on the first page with natural evolution. I was merely trying to point out how many of us (including 15% of scienti...

Re: The Flat Earth & Conspiracy Theories
That's actually not true. This Pew Center study on scientists and belief found that about 50% of scientists believe in a god. While that is less than the general population, it is hardly a wide margin. And the "god part of the brain" studies are fascinating, but we are a long ways from drawing conc...
