Re: The Hiddeness Of God
The sublime mystery of God....why so distant yet so near? Here we deal with the everpresence of God but our inability to experience Him daily. Is God an experience? Can He be felt and quatitatively defined........ask Moses or the Apostles. We submerge our finite mind and spirit into the depths of Go...

Re: Death Penalty For Homosexuals?
" All have sinned and have falled short of God's standard of brilliant standard for glorification. Kill everyone and let God sort them all.....nuts! Theonomists make me sick! We are to judge those who claim to be apart of the Body of Christ....not those outside it. Read Paul once more...or Jesus!! H...

Re: Inerrancy
Are we speaking of inerracy of the "Textus Receptus" and "Masoretic Text" or an English Translation? I prefer the 1901 American Standard Version Bible for literal "wooden" translation. But the NRSV or NASB are good too. I am a fan of the 1611 AV complete...which I have a great Copy of....but most 16...

Re: Gehenna and the Rabbis
Greetings, I am stunned that folks still wonder if YHVH God speaks in terms and language understandable to those whom HE deems worthy of His Self revelation.....as in Christ to the second temple era Jews. He came unto his own and spoke not in their own language? Nonsense. Maran Y'shua haNatzraya (Ou...

Re: Shema Yisrael
"Sh'ma yisro'el: Yahoweh Elohenu, Yahowah echod!" "Listen Israel! Jehovah is your God! Jehovah alone!" or "Listen israel! Jehovah your Deity, Jehovah is Unified!" Echod = A composite unity...a cluster. Achad = A modan..a unit. Vowel signs make the difference.....but the Greek is clear. YHVH alone is...

Re: The Case For Annihilation
There is no case for Biblical, Judeo-Christian notion of spiritual and physical annihilation (nonexistence). Linguistics and Second Temple perspectives rejects this......unless you are a Zadikim (i.e. Sadducee). The terms in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek translated traditionally into English as "perish"...

Re: Everlasting Destruction?
Greetings, Destruction in the Koine Greek means "no longer fit for it's purpose".....but it does not mean to become nonexistent. If a light bulb's filament burns out the light Bulb has perished......it has been destroyed. Yet the constituent parts of that item still remain....thus destrroying an obj...

Re: The Origin of Original Sin
Greetings, The Latin Church's ideas of Original Sin, civil authgority used to supress and execute "heretics" and Amillenialism are the babies of Agustine of Hippo. His erros have never been made dogma exept in the West by Papal decree and various Protestant Church Synods. Most Protestant and Reforme...
