Re: New Lectures at website

The missing John 2011 lectures can be viewed here (both 4:1-4:26 & 6:22-6:45): http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL00814FDF55B59CB3 This is not my Youtube channel, I'm not sure which forum member is behind it. But I am in the process of using my slow internet connection to download as .flv and co...

Re: Can unbelievers truly be considered married?

Jeremiah, yes we have 3 little girls now. Born in May, I was just slow on updating the pic. Girls sure are sweet.

Re: Can unbelievers truly be considered married?

Singlaphile, I agree with your points as well. I am thinking that I really should have narrowed my original question to a particular class of unbelievers who hold certain expectations of marriage, such as I listed in my response to Matt. I made it sound too much like I was suggesting that I was spea...

Jeremiah 2012 lecture not missing!

Not sure which category to post this under.

I am listening through the Jeremiah 2012 lectures, and #12 is actually 31b-36 and is over 2 hours long, so #13 isn't actually missing, it just looks like it got appended onto the other one.

End communication.

Re: Our Rule and Reign

I have wondered how much David being a type of Christ might shed light on this. We see that those who sided with him while he was in the wilderness received honored positions in his kingdom when he came to full power. But those weren't the only people in the kingdom. Aside from outright rebels again...

Re: Wounds in Christ's resurrected body?

So Paidion, you would see His maintenance of wounds as a choice to fulfill a particular purpose, and not an indication in general for what others might expect when they receive resurrection bodies?

Re: Who goes first?

Thank you Paidion. I do accept the usage of "meet" that you speak of. And it's not so much that I accept or reject your particular view (although I do lean towards a certain view). I am just wanting to flesh out my understanding of the amillennial viewpoint on these passages. I assume they would pla...

Who goes first?

This question is specifically regarding Steve's perspective on the timing of the events mentioned in Mt 24:37-42, but anyone who can shed light is welcome to answer. I was listening to the radio archives from 2010, and a caller asked about this passage (http://media.theos.org/Steve%20Gregg/Radio/201...

Re: What was the cup that Jesus prayed about?

Rich, yes, I think we are basically saying the same thing. Here is why I am asking. I was talking about this subject with a friend earlier in the week because I had heard the "God's wrath" view on a call-in program that we both listened to. He agreed with the show host, I did not, but I said I would...

What was the cup that Jesus prayed about?

Was the cup Jesus prayed to pass from him in the garden (Mt 26:39) the cup of God's wrath? I know that most evangelicals say that it is, but if so, why does Jesus say that James and John will indeed drink from the same cup that Jesus would (Mt 20:22-23)? I am not doubting that Jesus took on my sins ...
