Re: Marriage gets a bad rap.
Marriage is not the solution to your problems. Through the years, I have heard many Christians say this. Usually, it's married Christians who say this, although recently I had a young single Christian tell me this. My response? Maybe not all of them, but I know at least one problem that it will sol...

Re: Moses was the author of the Pentateuch
Joshua 8:30-35 clearly shows us that Moses was the author of the Pentateuch. Joshua "wrote there on the stones a copy of the law of Moses, WHICH HE HAD WRITTEN, in the presence of the sons of Israel." Verse 34 - Then afterward he read ALL the words of the law, the blessing and the curse, according ...

Re: Denominations and Divisions in the Church
By the way, your "so-called non-denominational" fellowship has chosen that designation for a reason. They are separating themselves from denominational fellowships, which basically makes them a "denomination" too. You really can't escape these designations, so why fight it? How are you so familiar ...

Re: An Arminian Piper / Driscoll / Sproul / Keller?
Of the 10 names you listed, I know only Gregg, Zacharias, and Lewis. The other 7 are not well known in my book, but that's just me. I'd encourage you to check them out, then. Particularly NT Wright and Frank Turek. Wright is more of a teacher/theologian and Turek is an apologist who travels to coll...

Re: An Arminian Piper / Driscoll / Sproul / Keller?
I'm not sure you can call NT Wright non-Calvinist. I would confidently assert he is. But I've been wrong before. What makes you unsure? He tries to avoid labels and terms that others can use to label him. In particular, Calvinists don't like his use of the term "justification." But, he does seem to...

Re: "all religions have historically treated women like this
Hi Ian, Do you think a response to this is even worth your time? Your "friend" and his/her quote is such a glaring appeal to emotion that seems to be more interested in likes, loves, and laughing faces than rational discourse. I obviously don't know this person but one of the first things I thought ...

Re: How do I create faith in Christ & God?
Hi alibertarian, Welcome to the forum! There are folks here more insightful than I that'll hopefully chime in as well but I think I have a few things I can share that may be useful for you. The Bible was written by man. I don't know how to turn on faith in man's written words. Though the Bible is a ...
