Re: Is The Democrat Party Finished?
If you think the majority of Americans care about being sensitive to enemy combatants over their economic short-comings, you are delusional. I think the majority should care more about how they treat other creatures of God-- indeed his very children! But it is as you say, because Mammon is our God ...

Re: Hold to repentance
Hello njd, That's a false doctrine. No brother, it's not. It's quite the contrary a thoroughly biblical understanding of the human person and our life and death. One that by the way makes the resurrection of the the dead absolutely necessary by all counts—a fact not shared with its Platonic counterp...

Re: Hold to repentance
Hello NJD, What's wrong with a dead biological man, Adam, laying on the ground with no life in him as of yet, then becoming a living soul when the spirit of God comes into him? In other words, the very act of God's spirit coming into the Adam fleshly body created a living soul, betwixt the two, Spir...

Re: What if we all were in the same church?
I'm sure we'd manage very well. My family and I spent an evening with Jarrod, Darin and family, Steve and his wife, and others a few years ago. It was a lovely time, one I wouldn't think twice to do again.

Re: Upcoming Election
Dwight, she's not saying it's editing which caused her too move her head that way. She's talking about the editing that's clear on the clip that was linked to by Ian. The slow motion, the repetition. It's an edited clip.

Re: Socialism
I would point out that capitalism is not a man-made system, but a default where there is no government interference in the free exercise of stewardship and conscience.  So says the zeitgeist. It is absolutely a man made system, and to further assert that it is God's own blessed favorite ...

Re: All lives matter?
Hello Clint, What do you think? As a Christian, we should believe that all lives and souls matter, right? Yes of course, but this is entirely beside the point. I think the article you linked to pretty well lays out the problem with this being an inappropriate response. The only thing I didn't see wa...

Re: what is 'this hope'?
Hey Robin, So then, jeremiah, what's your call ... would you like to see me gone from this forum ... your call. It's not my call, nor my intent. So no brother, I wouldn't. Grace and peace to you. RE the OP, I think 'this hope" is the same life of the age to come promised to all who trust in Jesus, f...

Re: what is 'this hope'?
Paidion is a piece, aint he ... likes to posion the waters; likes to sound like a know-it-all, but I suspect that the real reason he haunts forums like this one (and one other I know of), is that he's mean spirited, and has some agenda, what exactly, I haven't yet figured out, but it not a loving a...

Re: The Reliability of the New Testament
Right on man, thanks for the lengthy explanation. I thought I understood what was going on in this thread, but maybe there's another context with you two I hadn't seen in the last few weeks. Wouldn't be the first time I jumped a gun. I guess that's for y'all to work through eventually. Thanks again ...
