Re: The identity of Lucifer

steve wrote: If you want to know who I think Lucifer is, I would simply ask, "Who does the Bible say that Lucifer is?" There is only one place in the Bible that mentions "Lucifer," so it should be easy enough to consider all the biblical evidence. Comparing Isaiah 14:12 and v.16, we find that the on...

Re: "in heaven and on the earth and under the earth"

Hello Verbatim, I'm having difficulty understanding who you believe Jesus was and is. Please tell me your thoughts about these verses, especially the highlighted words: In reading of Scripture the following verses are my guideline which will separate spiritual from physical. Christ is Spirit, Jesus...

Steve wrote: No, the king of Tyre was not in the Garden of Eden. It is a figure of speech—no more literal than that the Assyrian was there (Ezek.31:3, 8-9). No. Neither was Satan. In the Bible, Satan is identified with the serpent in the garden, not the cherub. The only cherub in the Garden of Eden ...

Re: "in heaven and on the earth and under the earth"

Verbatim said... You cannot find one verse proving that Jesus was called the Mighty God, in his lifetime. It does not matter whether or not Jesus was called “the mighty God” during His lifetime. That title was declared by the great prophet, Isaiah, to apply to Messiah (Is 9:6). Jesus was/is Messiah...

Re: "in heaven and on the earth and under the earth"

Sorry Verbatim i really lost you but i want to respond although this is going off on a tangent. In John 1 , Jesus is called the Word of God & later John says he was made flesh. His is not "a god" because this description in the context of John 1 makes no sense, but he also is not God Almighty IMHO ...

Re: "in heaven and on the earth and under the earth"

Some verses that i think call Jesus the Savior of all men are, "the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world" 1st John 4.14 "for we have heard for ourselves and know that this really is the Savior of the world" John 4.42 "because we have put our hope in the living God who is the Savior of eve...

Re: "in heaven and on the earth and under the earth"

Paidion wrote: When the writer to the Hebrews wrote these words, Jesus' death and resurrection had already occurred! And yet he wrote, "But now we see not yet all things put under him." So clearly the writer to the Hebrews did not believe that all things were yet under the feet of Jesus at the time ...
