Is Jesus the Everlasting Father?

Paidion

You really believe that Arianism was the original belief of the Christians?

Every church history book that I have read has always suggested that it sprang up in the 3rd century.

Re: Recent thoughts on Job...

Job was so protected by God that the only way Satan could touch him was to get permission.

I know in its context 1 Corinthians 4:7 is talking about good things or qualities, but the principle still applies.

The Heart

Bro. Steve and others, I believe I have heard Bro. Steve say before that Jeremiah 17:9 does not apply to humanity as a whole. I do note that in Jer 17:1 the prophet addresses “the sin of Judah”. Nevertheless in verse 9 it does seem like it is a general declaration because it says “The heart” and not...

Re: Jesus the mediator

Paidion - you favorably talked of the JW’s translation in regards to John 1:1. Are you a JW? Or do you consider yourself a believer of Arianism?

Thank you

Calvary Chapel and the Holy Spirit Baptism

Hello Bro. Steve I tried to call today, but I was unable to get through. I am listening to your series “Charisma and Character”. In one of the lectures, you give your testimony to how at that time that you started attending Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa many were speaking about he Holy Spirit baptism. I...

Re: worship/praying to the Spirit?

Your points have a lot of merit. They also sound like modalism. I am not offended by modalist. I even have family members that attend ‘oneness’ churches. I like what Steve Gregg has said, ‘many in the first church and many today do not have a very accurate understanding of the Godhead, but that does...

Re: Foreknowledge = Determinism? And God's Character.

I myself am an open theist. I am more convinced by the simplicity of it's proposition than by the explanations I've heard from Calvinists and Classical Arminians in regards to the conundrum you explained. Leighton Flowers talks much about Traditionalism and says that it is different from Arminianis...

Re: Can God Spare the Believer from Sinning, Period, for Goo

Good point sir,

I agree with you and find it a compelling fact to why it is synergy. If God did do it all, even the belief, then one would expect the believers to be like ‘humanoids or robots of sinlessness’ after the belief was placed in them.
