Re: Daniel's last 3 Kingdom's as Media, Persia, and Greece

Hi friends, It's been a while but I just wanted to follow up on this post. I've actually created a video resource discussing the primary difficulty I had with Dr. Gurney's views on Daniel 11. For those who are interested, it can be found here: https://youtu.be/QaWKbSGaLfc Any feedback or constructiv...

Re: Daniel's last 3 Kingdom's as Media, Persia, and Greece

Hi Steve, Thank you very much for your reply. You are correct that the entire book is available in PDF form online. For anyone else who may be interested, it has been freely posted with permission from the author here: http://biblicalstudies.org.uk/book_god-in-control_gurney.html It's not a long rea...

Re: Daniel's last 3 Kingdom's as Media, Persia, and Greece

Steve, If you happen to read this post, I'd be particularly interested in your appraisal of Dr. Gurney's work if you are familiar with it. I know from listening to your Verse-by-Verse lectures on Daniel that you don't find the understanding of Daniel's 4 kingdoms espoused by the Maccabean Hypothesis...

Daniel's last 3 Kingdom's as Media, Persia, and Greece

Hi friends, Is anyone out there familiar with this alternative view of Daniel's kingdoms? I realize that this view is largely held by critics as a means of discrediting Daniel as a true prophet. However, I've spent a good deal of time reading and trying to debunk the book "God in Control" by Dr. Rob...

Re: The Woman and the Dragon in revelation 12

Hi robbyyoung, Thank you so much for your response! I've reviewed the video links you gave. The link you listed 1st seems to be the most relevant to this topic since this is where Mr. Rood acknowledges several of the same historical celestial events that Dr. Martin has identified. They both agree th...

Re: The Woman and the Dragon in revelation 12

I'm guessing that either most people haven't heard of the work of Dr. Martin or they have but it's been so thoroughly discredited/debunked that it needs no further comment. In the event that the former statement represents reality, let me just give a quick run-down of the general gist of what I'm ta...

Re: Seemingly Uncommon Interpretation of the Millennium

Hi Doug, Thank you for your thoughtful and extensive explanation and for taking the time to review the links I posted. I greatly appreciate both. I'll digest this for a while as you've given me some new ideas to consider. In the meantime, can you recommend any good sources that helped you in your un...

Re: Seemingly Uncommon Interpretation of the Millennium

Thank you for the response. Here are some more details. I've heard this from Hank Hanegraaff on several occasions. He gives his interpretation of the Millennium in these places: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=8mBovpoWbF0 time marker 1:50 http://streaming.integrationworks.c...

Seemingly Uncommon Interpretation of the Millennium

I've recently heard some high-profile Christians who maintain a predominantly preterist view of eschatology who say they have problems with all 3 of the common views on the Millennium of Revelation 20 (i.e. Postmillennial, Premillennial, Amillennial). These folks suggest that the Millennium isn't a ...

Re: The Woman and the Dragon in revelation 12

I know this was posted a while ago. However, I've run into some research regarding this over the past couple of years and I've been bouncing it off of my friends and family recently to get their input. I thought those on this forum might be able to offer some helpful opinions and insights as well. S...
