Re: Do you agree with the Ark Encounter?

Just read the article on the radioisotope dating method used at Mt. St. Helen. Thanks, Robby Young. Evolutionists and OEC's don't like this article, I'm sure, because it thoroughly debunks this so-called dating method. In fact, they probably wish Mt. St. Helen would just go away, but God put it the...

Re: Do you agree with the Ark Encounter?

Would you mind explaining why you chose theistic evolution rather than old-earth creationism? The latter seems to me to be a better fit with both science and Scripture. It works well with the other sciences, but not with biology. How so? I have yet to see an example that's explained better by evolu...

Re: Do you agree with the Ark Encounter?

The other apologetic is to harmonize modern science with scripture, which made a whole lot of sense to me, and I found that I no longer had any excuse. Would you mind explaining why you chose theistic evolution rather than old-earth creationism? The latter seems to me to be a better fit with both s...

Re: Do you agree with the Ark Encounter?

I find it curious that Jon himself seems to have just dropped out of the conversation. If you check some past threads, you'll see that's just the way he operates. He disappears for a long time in the middle of a discussion he started, and usually simply ignores facts and arguments that don't fit hi...

Suggestions for adult Sunday school materials?

My church is considering changing adult Sunday school materials. We're looking for something theologically conservative that can be used as a starting point for discussion. The particular doctrinal slant isn't important; we just want something that consistently takes a high view of Scripture. I've b...

Re: Porn spammer

I'd vote for whatever you are talking about. Well, you're the only admin who has even logged in in the last 30-some hours, so had you not taken care of the problem, the forum would still be flooded with porn ads. Hence the wisdom of having a few more admins/moderators, which I've suggested several ...

Re: The Benedict Option

I haven't read the book, and don't intend to, but I happened to run across this review of it this week:

Re: About registering on this forum

Yes I believe the forum has that ability, but I would prefer to leave the default to admin activation just because the majority of signups are spam... even ones that appear to have a "normal" name. That's exactly why you really need to make that change. Spammers don't bother signing up if they know...

Porn spammer

Another spammer, and so soon after the last one just a few days ago. And this one is advertising porn. 40 posts and counting over the last 22 minutes, as I type this. There really is no need for this to keep happening. I wonder if the admins wouldn't like to reconsider my suggestions for eliminating...

Re: Need recommendation for group study

It's not video, but would Steve's Matthew in 20-minute chunks work?
