Re: Steve and Rom 1:18 to 2:1
Hi Mike. I was wondering if you're familiar with Douglas Campbell's interpretation of Romans 1:18 - 3:20. He considers it to be a debate between a hypothetical Jewish teacher (similar to the ones in Galatians) and Paul, he calls it a diatribe. I found it to be very interesting. In fact, I wondered i...

Thanks, that's really helpful. I learn better by reading than listening.

Re: Fullness of the Gentiles (Romans 11:25)
How about verse 32? Doesn't that summarize Paul's entire Romans thesis concerning Jews and Gentiles for all time? All Israel Will Be Saved 25 I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the...

Re: Did Jesus have faith?
It's an interesting question, and I think Darin's explanation is reasonable. Here's the NET bible's, a modern translation, take: 22 namely, the righteousness of God through the faithfulness of Jesus Christ [a] for all who believe. For there is no distinction, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of...

Re: Did Jesus have faith?
I believe that in Romans 3:22 for example, "pistis Christos" is translated "faith of Christ" in the KJV, and "faith in Christ" in most other modern translations. This translation also occurs in Galatians 2:16. I think both translations are acceptable. Why the change? I don't know. 21 But now the rig...

As an Amazon author myself, one of the biggest challenges is garnering reviews for newly published books. So take a moment after you've read Steve's new book and leave a brief review. Readers appreciate thoughtful reviews.

In addition, Steve's book on the subject is on sale on Amazon Kindle for $2.99. A great deal IMO.

Abe Lincoln on the Bible
Here's a nice quote I ran across this morning:
“Take all this book upon reason that you can, and the balance on faith, and you will live and die a happier and better man.” — Abraham Lincoln, speaking of the Bible.
Pretty sage advice...
