I don't have to prefer an approach.
As you read Revelations review all the options and see which ones fits best. Its only a problem if you become dogmatic about one approach over the others.

Re: A question about the preterist approach ...
Assuming your first two points are correct: Then it would be much like the first 24 chapters of Ezekiel. Ezekiel prophesized to those in Babylon, which is about 1,000 miles from Jerusalem, about the impending destruction of Jerusalem. They Jews in Babylon didn’t find out about the destruction for ab...

Re: Compendium of Basic Eschatology
I’m basically a preterist-historical-futurist By that I mean that most of the apocalyptic images in Revelation pertain to Jerusalem and was fulfilled in 70 AD. A few things were fulfilled in history after 70 AD. (i.e. I believe the RRC is the little horn) and only one thing is yet to be fulfilled th...

Re: The God Who Washes Feet
Jesus washed the Disciples feet because their feet were dirty. Jesus was demonstrating for His disciples that they too would be called to serve not rule over The Church.

I think it’s important to remember that we are forgiven and Christ’s sacrifice is sufficient for all our inconsistencies.

Re: The weakness of God.....
Defining God by human terms and human understand is always a bad idea. Isa 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. I thinks its a better idea to beleive God is what He claims to be and if I don't understand what is ...

I'm not sure I follow your logic.
If people think a few far-out claims are okay why aren't a lot of far-out claims okay?

Re: Samson's Philistine Wife and God's Purpose
The whole chapter confuses me. Dead lion, Bees, riddle, betrayal, revenge.
A couple of questions:
Is it even possible for God to do some unsavory? (All men have sinned...)
Are things forbidden to man by God forbidden of God? (Do as I say not as I do)

Re: Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit
I have come to take it as the Pharisees knowingly rejecting Jesus as the true Messiah. Not just the single act of knowingly claiming His works were of the devil.
If for example they had immediately repented as David did, would Jesus have said sorry can't do it?
