We are saved by....hope?

I don't know why this jumped out at me, maybe because I have been in many conversations on grace thru faith but... Romans 8:23Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. 24For in this...

Re: What exactly happened in the fall?

I apologize for being a later comer to this discussion of interest. I personally do wonder about Augustine views. What I seem to see in scripture is that Adam was created with the possibility of immortality and sinlessness. After he choose wrongly, as an act of mercy God booted Adam out of the garde...

The Church itself seems to have a common theme, divorce or seperate from those you disagree.

Re: Unjustifiable Divorce- What should a church do?

Christopher raised this point in another topic: If churches don't deal with things like unjustifiable divorce then it's the height of hypocracy to take a political stand against homosexuality or marginalize a gay person in their church IMO. This begs the question: How should a church deal with unju...

This is the way I see the whole argument and what I get from scripture. I see that no man searchs for God. Why would men search for God if they don't know that they are loved by Him. Man has the ability to love and know love because man does know good from evil. What changes in a man when they hear ...

I think we start to sin the moment we become aware of the difference between right and wrong. The reason I said this is because after Adam and Eve sinned ( ate the fruit of the tree of life) they became aware of the difference between right and wrong. Paul, your statement doesn't make sense. If Ada...
