Do we judge outside The Kingdom?

There is alot of Scripture that says Christians are to expose the evil of this world and shine light to expose the darkness, etc. How do I reconcile this with 1 Corinthians 5:12 "For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside?" How do I reconcile...

Re: Mind wandering during Bible study

Thanks everyone for all the tips. Some I have used, and others I am going to try. I have mind-wandering issues as well. Like the caller to the program, my greatest difficulty is remembering much of anything that I read or study (not just the Bible). Out of frustration, I don't study much anymore (I ...

Re: Steve's lecture Whether a Christian is obliged to follow

Finally got around to finishing watching this three hour debate. Excellent. Steve definitely presented the better Biblical argument. I think Mr. Hamp prepared for a presentation rather than a debate and therefore was blindsided by Steve's strong arguments.

Re: Are certain types of prayer putting God to the test?

Thank you so much Carmine for an excellent example of a much better way to approach this. Because, yes, I definitely want to be humble and respectful and try to align my will with His. And Dwight, thank you so much for the prayers! Ive been dealing with this issue for 10 months 24/7, and various med...

Re: Are certain types of prayer putting God to the test?

Thanks Carmine. An example would be that I should (according to some) preface my prayer request, with one of God's promises. So, it would go something like this: "You said you would walk me through the waters (Isaiah 43:2), so I am standing on your promise Lord and ask that you walk me through the w...

Are certain types of prayer putting God to the test?

I’ve been much more active in my prayer life lately. However, Im still a bit hesitant to do what a lot of people say. Specifically, to “stand on God’s promises that he gave us in his Word”. And to pray in that type of way. The thought that jumps into my head is when Jesus replied to one of Satan’s t...

Re: Add at the front of listening to the radio program live.

I wonder if all the stations do that? When I listen to it live, on the station nearest me (out of Omaha, NE) they also play a commercial before letting me listen to the live stream.

Re: Give us this day our daily bread?

Thanks for the replies guys. I dont have a formula for prayer but often wonder if I'm doing it all wrong! My prayer time is just very conversational like. Nothing formal. I share what's on my mind, do some intercessory prayer, give thanks and praise, and just "talk".
