Did Sin mean "miss the mark" in Koine Greek
I have heard over and over in Protestant circles that sin (hamartano, hamartia, etc.) means "miss the mark", as if you shot an arrow at a target and missed. And yet, when I look in the Arndt Gingrich lexicon it only refers to "miss the mark" as a classical Greek meaning of that word. I cannot think ...
