apostolic origens?
Infant baptism can easily be associated with the first century of Christianity. It is alluded to in several places like the martyrdom of Polycarp. Additionaly the fact that it was undisputed and the mainstream practice of second century Christianity implies that debate was significantly prior to then.

It is equally invalid to argue that a practice is indeed apostolic by appeal to what Christians have done for however many centuries (from the second century til the sixteenth century, all Christians practiced infant baptism, though it is impossible to demonstrate that this was an apostolic practic...
