Hi Everyone!

Well, I'm sure at least one of you has noticed my absence around here so I thought I'd drop by and say hello and ask for some prayers. The last year I've been raked over the coals a bit. The spiritual highpoint of my life was the fellowship I had with Brody and some other believers when Steve came a...

As far as i can see God progressively revealed himself in scripture until Jesus came who Paul said was the exact image of the Father. And it was Jesus who really first revealed much of anything about the afterlife which is why i found the OT something like an unfinished story. Though there are some...

What helps sort out some of these things is that the bible presupposes supernatural activity. Keeping that in mind helps. I believe God providentially brought animals to and fro. That's just me though. I am not sure why God couldn't have provided the rain as well. If there's one thing the Discovery...

I like to compare science with what is said in the Bible, and most times, the things listed in the Bible can be very plausible and not far off from the science facts if looked at in the right way. I am curious. If the bible presents a certain scenario within a historical narrative, (assuming the po...

Providing an answer, and having it be sensible are two completely different things. There's nothing non-sensical about my answer. If Logic is dependent upon God's own thought processes, then you can't say it is absolute. You're trying to make logic into something it isn't. It's an abstract concept....

Paidion, Derek, there is no doubt that Col 1:18 and Rev 1:5 which speak of Christ being the first-born (prōtotokos) from the dead, refer to His ressurection. There is a great difference between being born and being begotten (gennaō). I realize that the latter word is sometimes translated as "born" a...

How can the ressurection be the time the Father begat the Son? Do you think the many phrases about Jesus being "the only-begotten Son" are all references to His resurrection? No, I don't. I think that they are primarilly about the incarnation. At least two other times a similar expression is used i...

I wondered what you would make of the following passage, Derek. Serve Yahweh with fear, And rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, For his wrath will soon be kindled. Blessed are all they that take refuge in him. Psalm 2:11-12 I believe that this entire P...
