Re: Question re church membership

Hi I have been given a discipleship booklet about baptism and it states as follows: "All those desiring baptism are presented before the church members and the church votes to receive them into membership upon their baptism" Questions 1). Why is someone desiring baptism presented before church membe...

Re: locked behind bricks

That's a nice thought but it would probably be better for them to see us loving our neighbor and each other. Then they might want to join us. But to an outsider looking in is a Church not something sort of shrouded in mystery to the outsider, that might be off putting? I think there is something th...

The most memorable of Steve Gregg's mp3s in my opinion is called: Strategies For Unity. If you haven't listened to it, please do, I bet you'll enjoy it. You can find it here , in the middle column, the fifth from the top Thanks Jeremiah, just listened and really enjoyed this teaching very much :D

locked behind bricks

Hello to all,

why do Christians go into buildings to worship, bible study and fellowship?

Would it not be more beneficial to the unsaved out in the community to see folks enjoying Christianity out in the open air?

Appreciate thoughts, TIA

Re: A shy hello to all

I think in Acts when folks got baptized they were not part of a local church because there were few if any.[/quote]

True, but when did baptism become something that could only be done in the local churches when they did sprout up or did it ever? Thanks for the reply.
