Re: Rev 17:8 - The beast who is not

Yes, Duncan's books are quite good. Shame on those who know about them and yet have the hubris to have not read them. The fact that the (individual) beast was about to come out of the abyss should tell one that this is referring to something more than just the Roman Empire. Revelation is unveiling t...

Re: Multiple Fulfilments of Bible Prophecy

In Daniel 7 there is no evocation. It shows four kingdoms and then the kingdom of God. Either that has happened or it hasn't. Don't try to sell me on multiple fulfillments of it. Similarly, in Revelation 11:15-18 the kingdom of this world becomes the kingdom of God. Either that has happened or we ar...

Re: The Penalty For Getting It Wrong

I think we need to cut our brothers a break on Revelation. :-) I feel I understand Revelation better than the average person (I wrote a commentary on part of it) and yet even if I am right, if I don't have love I am nothing. I preach this to myself.... [If I] "know all mysteries and all knowledge [o...

Re: The Goal of the Great Commission

Perriman is a very smart guy. But sometimes he drops the ball very badly (i.e., he is convinced that Babylon in Revelation refers to Rome). At AD 70, "the kingdom and dominion and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven [was] given to the people, the saints of the Most High. His kingdom...

Re: R. F. White on recapitulation in Rev. 19 and 20

Hey Doug, First one has to ask what is being destroyed in Rev. 19? In Rev. 17-18 the beast destroys the harlot (unfaithful Jerusalem) and then the beast and his armies are destroyed by the coming of the Word of God in Rev. 19. I am pretty sure White is thinking about physical destruction of nations ...

Re: R. F. White on recapitulation in Rev. 19 and 20

Some of my thoughts on this issue. This is taken from my book The Antichrist and the Second Coming, vol. 2, 314-19 ARE REVELATION 19:11-21 AND 20:7-10 SHOWING THE SAME BATTLE? The call to the birds to feast on those who set themselves against the Lord in Revelation 19:17-18 is similar to the call to...

Re: Revelation 21 and 22

Duncan, Is there any scripture in your opinion that describes the eterNnal state? Doug Not sure on that Doug. Let me think out loud on this. In Daniel we are brought to AD 70 full establishment of God's kingdom in chapters 2 (vv. 34-35, 44-45) 7 (vv. 17-27) 9 and 11:36-12:13 at the destruction of J...

Re: Revelation 21 and 22

Here is something from volume II of The Antichrist and the Second Coming. THE NEW JERUSALEM In Revelation 21:1-2 John sees a new heaven and new earth with the New Jerusalem coming down out of heaven prepared as a bride. At first glance it appears that this is the eternal state. Notice however that i...

Re: Revelation 4 -- four creatures

John is going with Ezekiel instead of Genesis because Revelation is patterned on Ezekiel. http://planetpreterist.com/content/reve ... l-part-one
