Has anyone done an exhaustive study of the threshing floor? I'm particularly interested in thoughts concerning the first mention of it in Genesis and the mourning periods following Jacob's (Israel's) death and his subsequent burial. Do the numbers have spiritual significance? Why 40, 70, and 7 days?...
