Re: Hello from Utah

Hi Sarah, I meant to get back to you before now. I listened to the Introduction to the Sermon on the Mount. Had a few technical difficulties with the internet signal pausing too often, too long, but what I could track was very intriguing. The main thing, according to your pastor, the Beatitudes are...

Re: Hello from Utah

We went to the dinasaur museum in Lehi (I believe that is where it is) and to a big outdoor gear store in the same town....what is the name of it? It starts with a "C" I think. It's an amazing store! My family loves the dinosaur museum! We've had a lot of fun visiting it. We don't have a membership...

Re: Hello from Utah

It's really as odd feeling that you are in my LDS centered SLC, UT as you post, though not LDS. It was so funny when you mentioned "scrapbooking" that I wondered if everyone here knows just how LDS scrapbooking and card making can get. It almost seems that if you are into scrapbooking you certainly...

Re: Hello from Utah

I'm glad you liked my church's website, SueAnn. :) If you're interested, there's a link on the bottom to listen to sermons. My pastor just finished preaching through The Sermon on the Mount, and I'd highly recommend a listen. I think the series began in September...not certain, it might have been Oc...

Re: The new guy

Hey, there, Mike--

I'm new, too, and I'm glad you're here. I live in the SLC area, and have several LDS friends (met most of them through scrapbooking--feel free to snicker. ;) )

Hello from Utah

Hey, gang-- I'm new, and thought I'd introduce myself. I'm a wife of 10 years (next week) and mother of 6. My dh and I moved to the Salt Lake City area for his job a bit over 4 years ago. We're originally from the Portland, Oregon area. We've come to love this area, though, especially because of our...

Re: Starting a New "Great Commission School"

Hey, Steve-- It would be a shame if you didn't include the discipleship portion of the curriculum if you do start another school. I realize that not everyone who comes to your school would be fresh out of high school and a Christian home, as I was when I attended GCS, but even those who may have alr...
