Re: Miracles
Wow, I had no idea these existed on the website. Based on the sound of his voice, these tapes must be OLD!

Re: Miracles
That sounds like it'd be delightful. I'm very eager to listen to it if somebody can figure out which one it is!

Re: Was Jesus a Racist?
Jason, that's a really great point. I think that's the emphasis of the story. It's almost a foreshadowing that Gentiles could also have faith in Christ.

Re: Angel of the Lord
Not to get sidetracked from Darin's original comments, but Homer brings up a really interesting point about the word "name" being used instead of "names". I don't know all the proof texts that are used for the Trinity, but this seems like it could be one of them. If Jesus was referring to three diff...

Re: Was Jesus a Racist?
This is a tough one. These words of Jesus have been hard for me to swallow. However I think there is an explanation nonetheless. Dogs were an unclean animal in the Jewish Law, so I think this statement can be paralleled to what he says in the sermon on the mount, "Do not give what is holy to the dog...

To say that "if your view of God isn't 100% ac...

Re: How Jesus Prepared a Place
Just some additional context, a Jew hearing Jesus' words about "God's house" wouldn't have thought of Heaven. Their mind would immediately go to the temple which is referred to repeatedly as the house of the Lord in the OT. So for modern preachers interpret "In My Father's house are many dwelling pl...

Re: Praying in the Spirit
Dwight, I am referring to praying in tongues privately. In verse 13, Paul says "Therefore let him who speaks in a tongue pray that he may interpret." The way it's phrased makes it sound like the one who speaks in a tongue is also the one praying that he may interpret. I understand that most of this ...

Praying in the Spirit
Hi everyone, I've been following Steve's ministry for about 2 years, but I'm new to this forum! I'm wondering if anybody here has any testimonies about being able to interpret while they pray in tongues? I usually ask God to grant me an interpretation (1 Corinthians 14:13) but so far it has been unf...
