Once again, Dwight, the word in 2 Thesalonians, is not "eternal". I don't care how many translations so render it.
The Greek word is the adjective "αιωνιος" which is derived from the noun "αιων".
The noun means "age", so why should the adjective mean "eternal"? It doesn't. It means "age-lasting".
The Diaglot translators correctly translated it as "age-lasting".
What do you think happens if there is no Hell?

Man judges a person by his past deeds, and administers penalties for his wrongdoing. God judges a person by his present character, and disciplines him that he may become righteous.
