Tebow throws for 316

Postby steve7150 on Mon Jan 09, 2012 8:17 am

Tim Tebow led his Denver Broncos over the heavily favored Pittsburgh Steelers in a playoff game throwing for 316 yards and had an average yardage gained per pass of 31.6 yards.

316 ring a bell? At the press conference he thanks his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Good observation 7150, I listened to the radio broadcast while watching TV and noted, as interesting, that more than a few times the announcers referred to the pass as amazing and miraculous, and yet I don't think they were considering Tebows faith when they said it.

One last "coincidence" was that the TV rating for this game was a huge 25.9 rating but the rating specifically for the overtime portion was , you guessed it 31.6.
It was in the overtime portion that Tebow's total passing yardage got up to 316 and his passing average yards per catch reached 31.6 and the TV rating was 31.6, all for the guy who in college wore John 3.16 stamped on his forehead. The NFL prohibits this.

I have no idea if God is interested in football but i do know he sometimes uses people.

I never heard the local sports jocks (KNBR 680) mention the words Lord, Savoir etc. 'before yesterday'. The talk about TBo was amazing, the sports guys were defending TBo against all the haters who ridicule or even hate him. The sports DJs pointed out what a breakdown in logic it is to hate a good man for praying, yet ignore or applaud the continuous bad behavior of common players. I also listened to 910 AM yesterday, a moderate political station, they had 4 calls in a row giving praise and support to a man hated on because of his faith (Tbo that is) noting that God may well turn to football to reach people, when more people are watching football than attending church these days.
