Intro to Revelation

I just found this introduction to Revelation. It has a good summary with excellent charts about the various approaches to interpretation as well as millennial views (see pages 4-8). Some of you might find it useful.

Hi Matt,

I'm in agreement. The list is useful also for pre-marital and marriage counselling.

Dear friends, In the ideal setting, I would imagine that a compatibility list like this should be done before the decision for betrothal/engagement. I looking for practical insights or any experience with regards to my two questions: 1. Would going through a list like this promote emotional/romantic...

My comment on No. 7 (since Steve7150 made no comments).

I think Mary was like a surrogate mother. She provided the womb, and was not the supplier of the ovum. (Otherwise Jesus would have had a share of sinful human essence.)

In the Wikipedia article on birthdays, it states that birthstones may have originated from the Bible! It's not the best interpretation of Exodus 39:10-14 and Revelation 21:19-20, but maybe celebrating birthdays aren't all that pagan afterall! :D

However, as I continued to drive, I continued to worry about the next accident that could happen. These rumi...

Dear AnotherSteve, My answer at this point in time is similar to yours except for Acts 15: In 1 Corinthians 8, Paul was referring to the context of buying food offered to idols in the market place (and even eating food offered to idols in someone's house). Apparently, excess meat from idol sacrifice...

Hi Michelle, I forgot to mention that there might be differences in the degree of culpabiliity depending on what a person knows. And that servant who knew his master’s will but did not get ready or act according to his will, will receive a severe beating. But the one who did not know, and did what d...

Off Topic (sort of)

After reading the book, I followed one internet link after another, and ended up on this site. The videos are funny and thought provoking.

You scored as Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan. You are an evangelical in the Wesleyan tradition. You believe that God's grace enables you to choose to believe in him, even though you yourself are totally depraved. The gift of the Holy Spirit gives you assurance of your salvation, and he also enables y...
