Re: Where Is Everybody?
Hellooo. I'm alive, but its conditional, depending on how much coffee I can find. I was really happy to see some of the old regulars still here! I was going through some times of big expenses and big bills, and I felt bad posting because I couldn't send a bigger check to support this forum. I felt l...

Re: Why have children
Also, I have had to ask myself: does my own view of second chances soften my urgency to proclaim the warning of hell? A bit I would think, but would telling people 'there is absolutely no chance of repenting post-mortem' and thus every person who dies without Jesus goes to hell, make it true? Does t...

Re: Why have children
I have had to ask myself: does Conditionalism (that leads to annihilation) soften the urgency to proclaim the warning of hell? I do believe that it allows a Conditionalist to focus on the truth of a Judgment / and the truth of eternal life / and the truth of punishment / and the truth of life foreve...

Re: Why have children
My question is if Christians are really committed to the doctrine of hell why would they ever take the chance of having children? (Chip) Good question! Or, good point. I would think Christian parents believe they 'could' raise Godly children. Unbelievers, or those who don't care about Hell, don't c...

Re: Who Was the Wretched Man, Romans 7?
Hi Mike, are you saying Paul was speaking of a progression toward perfection that we might somehow achieve in this life, or what? Are we wretched, and then progress out of that state into a perfected state?

Re: Who Was the Wretched Man, Romans 7?
Hello there guys. Glad you finally agreed :) . I always felt an affinity for Paul because he spoke how I felt. 'I' am a wretched man too, but I know God will save me, is saving me, and will one day 'completely' save and 'remove me from this body' of sin. I am happily married, but I still have to for...

Re: I Appreciate this Forum!
I do miss this forum. I haven't posted here for over 6 months, I did not die, I just quit drinking coffee early in the morning (although that is practically death). What happened is I took a new job and decided I would not drink coffee until I got to work, rather than what I used to do, that is have...

Re: What's So Wrong with Socialism?
Great post Matt. Socialism says the society is greater than the individual, thus it strives to take away every one of an individuals personal freedoms in the name of this 'greater' good. Socialism seems to have its core, the idea that man is by nature good, and man if given everything he needs, will...

Re: "Educated people are more likely to be atheists."
I know, I know, I was just thinking out loud, and chasing my own thoughts. I guess this proves i am not alone in my thoughts, or are you a product of my imagination also? :ugeek: And if this forum is in my own mind, why am I debating myself? Is this Universe a result of a multiple-personalities in o...

Re: Following Jesus in How to Read the Bible
I am sorry, where did you ask this before? I have had at least 4 or ten threads on the Law on this forum so I am sure the answer is there. No bible scholar should refer to the Law as ten, there are the ten, but the Law is of course hundreds or 613, I have never counted them all, and I believe there ...
